I’ve been in business for over 10 years and I’ve been doing video for 19 years. So even if you take very slow steps and Innovations, you’re going to see trends overtime.

One of the biggest trends I’ve seen is in the simplification of video production. 5 years ago I had never heard the word videographer, now I get emails almost weekly with this term. People seem to understand “filmmakers”, the concept of a one-man crew.

Level of Professionalism that a Client Asks for

Now video is becoming more common, consumers understand that a talented professional can do everything. Maybe it’s that same level of professionalism which a client might ask for.

Essentially one single, solo producer will be handling all the production stages from development, research, pre-production, production, post-production and all the deliveries in between.

It may not seem that difficult because it just called FILMMAKING now!

We’ve seen a trend to the simplification of the industry so we have developed a series of packages to support our videos and presentation.

I may simplify this even further in the future by removing packages all together. Maybe the client doesn’t even need selling at all!

Importantly, remember the client’s interest is great long-term relationship and they want to be proud of their final project. Because the harder you work to make sure the quality is exceptional, the happier the client will be in the more people they will tell about that amazing production.

Finally, if you take a look at proper commercial production, your prices should seem cheap. An inexpensive and high-value production package shows a level of high standard!
